The Government have confirmed that funding for the Rural Development Programme for England’s (RDPE) Growth Programme is guaranteed post-Brexit, providing grants are agreed and signed before the UK’s departure from the EU.  Bowler Oakfield is encouraging clients with aspirations to grow their businesses, enhance their assets and safeguard for the future, to pursue funding opportunities while they are still available.

The RDPE Growth Programme aims to facilitate business growth and development in the rural economy.  The application process is competitive and applications will be assessed against the key criteria for local areas, which may include the creation of infrastructure to improve rural tourism, the provision of products and services to increase sustainable use of natural resources, bringing new products to market or bringing new jobs to the rural economy.

The first stage of the application process is to submit an expression of interest form, which, briefly, will include a description of the proposal, the project costs (both grant funded and self-funded) and the projected output.  Applicants must demonstrate that the proposals fit with both national and local priorities for funding and if the proposal is considered to meet the relevant criteria, applicants may be invited to submit a full application.  A successful application could provide a minimum of £35,000 towards eligible project costs.
